Gianfranco Reyes is a visual artist from Lima, Peru living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Reyes received an A.A in Fashion Marketing from the Art Institute of California, an A.A in Studio Arts from CUNY and a BFA from The Cooper Union. Reyes is a painting instructor at the Cooper Union and he is a recipient of the Norman Sanders Fund and the Innovator Merit scholarship. In the fall of 2023 he had his first solo show Puteria and ephemera from his performances has been collected by the Archives and Special Collections of The Cooper Union. Reyes was part of the 2021 cohort at SIM Artist Residency in Reykjavik, Iceland, he was a finalist for the REDCAT Annual New Original Works (NOW) Festival and participated in the group show Queer Futurities at Coaxial Arts Foundation in Los Angeles, CA.
